Treatment of Rosacea - Before & After

Rosacea

No one knows what causes this distressing, common condition, which affects the nose and cheeks of older adults. Typically, it starts off with facial flushing, but over time can progress to inflamed, thickened skin, with prominent small blood vessels, spots and pimples.

Traditional treatment with antibiotic tablets or lotions is slow to act and usually only partially successful.

Laser treatment has proved to be very useful at reducing the inflammation, and destroying the visible red blood vessels. It works faster too.

The number of sessions needed will vary between individuals, depending on the severity of the condition. At your initial consultation, the doctor will advise you further about this, and about the improvements you can expect to see.
